Strategically Placed to Attract Business Investment
Welborne is well positioned, not just in terms of ready and easy access to Fareham Town Centre but also within the wider Solent and South-East region.
The site is located to the immediate north of the M27 and encompasses Junction 10. The M27 links Portsmouth and Southampton (and Southampton Airport) and leads to the A3(M) to the east and the M3 to the west, both of which provide direct links to London.
Welborne will also benefit from good local connections. The existing Eclipse Bus Rapid Transit will be extended to provide a service between Welborne and Fareham Town Centre. From Fareham passengers can also travel further afield using existing public transport links including railway links to Southampton and Portsmouth.
These connections to the strategic road network mean that Welborne is situated in a very accessible location, particularly in relation to attracting potential business investment into well-placed employment areas.
